Chinese restaurants are everywhere these days.
Whether you’re dining out at your favorite sushi bar or ordering from the Michelin-starred restaurant on your way to work, you can’t be too picky about your food.
And that’s because most of the food is produced in the world’s largest nation.
While there are a few exceptions, most Chinese restaurants will offer you one of several options, including dishes from some of the country’s biggest food brands.
Take the restaurant that opened up in Shanghai in 2019, which is famous for its hamburgers.
According to the Shanghaiist blog, the burger at the restaurant comes from an old-school restaurant chain.
The company, Hamburger Hill, specializes in burgers made with meat from pigs and calves.
This burger is the first burger made using pigs and cows.
While the burger has been available for about a year, Hamburger Hill is the only one of its kind in the country, the blog notes.
The restaurant has since closed.
The food at this Shanghai restaurant is made from chicken, pork, beef, and pork belly.
The hamburger comes with a sauce and is topped with a side of sauerkraut.
HamburgerHill was a popular stop for many Chinese tourists and locals when they visited the city in the past few years.
But now that Chinese tourism has increased significantly, restaurants are having a hard time keeping up with demand.
“In the past, we would come here for lunch and then go back home, but the demand for food and beverages in Shanghai is so high that people are leaving Shanghai for other destinations, like Hong Kong, Shenzhen, and the U.S.,” the Shanghaiists wrote.
“If we have to close our restaurant, it would be a huge blow for the local restaurant scene.”
In addition to being popular with Chinese tourists, Shanghai has also been experiencing a massive rise in hotel occupancy rates.
The trend has been attributed to the high cost of living in the city.
Hotels in Shanghai often sell out within minutes of a reservation, meaning you may have to wait up to two hours for a table.
The restaurants, however, are usually packed with hungry Chinese people.
It’s no surprise that Shanghai is one of the busiest destinations in the entire country for Chinese tourists.
While it may be difficult to eat a hamburger in Shanghai, it doesn’t have to be.
Restaurants in the Shanghai region are open 24/7, so you can easily eat out in your local neighborhood or even at a nearby restaurant.
Even in crowded restaurants, Chinese-American customers can find some of their favorite Chinese food.
